Robert Shank, Managing Director

Robert presently serves as Managing Director of IASSC with responsibility for its strategic direction, market awareness program and overall operations.

His career has spanned the industries of commercial real estate development and management, chain restaurants and corporate training in the disciplines of Lean and Six Sigma. Most recently he has served as the Executive Vice President of Open Source Six Sigma LLC, a courseware provider to a world market. Just prior to this position he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of Six Sigma Qualtec, a leading, worldwide training firm in the Lean Six Sigma methodologies. He has worked, at the executive level, with numerous Lean Six Sigma deployments assisting with their structure, implementation and continuing success.

Robert holds a Bachelor Degree in Aerospace Engineering earned through St. Louis University and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Arizona State University.

Joep van Nieuwstadt, Associate Director of European Affairs

As an expert in the field of IT education and certification Joep has been heavily involved in many different standards: ECDL/ICDL, ITIL, ISO 20000, ISPL, COBIT, Prince2, IPMA, ASL and BISL, MOF, Six Sigma, Tmap and I-Tracks. As the CEO/Director of EXIN, currently one of the largest global certifying bodies, Joep took the institute from a national Dutch company to an international leader with 8 regional offices, 120 employees, and 20 million+ revenue.

Director Joep van Nieuwstadt is board member of the International Best Practices Institute (IBPI) (www.ibpi.org), an initiative that provides best practices for a wide audience. Joep has also served on various board positions including ITIL, ISPL (leading to a publication of 8 books and a certification program), Delft Top Tech and European e-skills Association.

Lavell Craig, Director of Member Relations

Lavell currently serves as Director of Member Services for IASSC with responsibility for interfacing with IASSC Members. His career has included work within the financial services industry where he earned the designation of Certified Financial Planner (CFP). He later owned and operated an oil production company where he managed the financial requirements of the company and served as a consultant to other oil operations.  More recently he was the National Director of Customer Services for an international marketing firm which included extensive responsibilities for marketing and  sales training.

Lavell attended Oregon State University where he majored in Business Finance.
